Commissioning

Commissioning is the final step in UMC’s extensive QA/QC process that is intended to ensure that the mechanical system is not only installed per the contract documents, but that it performs consistent with the design intent and the building owner’s expectations. As a design/build mechanical contractor, UMC is responsible for all aspects of the mechanical system including design, construction, and commissioning.

UMC provides commissioning services that are tailored to your project.  Our commissioning services range from supporting a third-party commissioning agent to a fully developed and executed commissioning plan. The purpose of a commissioning plan is to provide direction for the commissioning process during construction by:

  • Clearly defining the systems to be tested
  • Roles & responsibilities of all parties
  • Approval process
  • Scheduling & coordination
